Nick Taylor, Owner of Oven Rescue Chichester & Havant

Oven Rescue Chichester and Havant

Nick joined the Oven Rescue franchise in October 2024 and made the move to running his oven cleaning business full time in September 2025. Since then, he has built a busy and rewarding local business while enjoying the freedom of being his own boss.

“The best thing about being an Oven Rescue franchisee is the support from the team,” Nick says. “You’re running your own business, but you’re never left on your own if something comes up.”

Nick enjoys the variety of the role and the chance to meet new people every day while providing a professional oven cleaning service in his local area, Chichester and Havant.

“I’m a people person, so I love chatting to customers. A lot of people are interested in how things work, so I’ll show them things like how to remove the oven door or deal with small stains. It’s nice sharing that knowledge and helping people.”

Like many successful oven cleaning franchise owners, Nick keeps busy with a steady stream of work and is typically booked around two weeks in advance.

In his first six months, he averaged around £4,000 per month, building momentum as his reputation and local marketing grew. He currently spends around £100–£150 per month on advertising, using local marketing, social media and leaflet drops to keep his business visible in the community.

“You do need to remember that it’s not just the upfront cost,” Nick explains. “You need to invest time into advertising and getting your name out there locally. But it definitely pays off and it’s absolutely worth it.”

Running your own business does come with responsibilities, but Nick says the flexibility and independence make it worthwhile.

“Like any self-employed role, you need to plan things like time off carefully. But the freedom of running your own business makes it really rewarding.”

Looking ahead, Nick is excited to see the Oven Rescue brand continue to grow and become even more recognised across the UK.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the brand grow even more, with more branded products, uniforms and improvements to the website so customers can find and book us even more easily.”

For anyone considering starting their own oven cleaning franchise, Nick has simple advice:

“Go for it. You learn how to organise yourself, you get the satisfaction of building your own business, and you can earn well. Plus the support from Oven Rescue is always there if you need it.”

If you’re ready to take control of your future, an Oven Rescue franchise offers the opportunity to build a successful business for those prepared to put in the work.
