Training
Can I do this if I've never cleaned professionally before?
Yes. You don't need previous oven or appliance cleaning experience to become an Oven Rescue franchisee.
Your training is designed to teach you the job from the ground up, so you can start without industry experience and build the skills and confidence to run your own business.
Your first week: learning by doing
Your initial training runs Monday to Friday and is mostly practical, one-to-one training.
Rather than sitting in a classroom watching demonstrations, you'll be out doing actual cleaning jobs with your trainer, working in customer homes and getting hands-on experience from the start.
Day 1 — Setup
- Introduction to all the products. Which products to use, what they do and how to apply them correctly.
- How to use, clean and maintain your equipment, including what each piece of equipment is for.
- Watching full oven/kitchen cleaning demos.
- Your van sign-writing will be done, and your van will be kitted out with the dip tank and workstation ready to go.
Day 2–4 — In the field
You're out on real jobs from the start, guided by our trainer. You'll cover:
- Hands-on training with the dip tank process
- Door removal & refitting (all main systems)
- Single ovens, doubles, ranges, AGAs, extractors, microwaves, BBQs & pizza ovens
- How to deal with customers, answer questions, take payments and provide a good customer experience
- How to market your local business, including getting Google reviews, using Facebook Ads and creating social media content
- How to sell your services and generate work within your territory
Day 5 — You're ready to go
By now, you've cleaned the main appliance types you'll see every day.
What happens after training?
This is an important part of becoming a franchisee. Once your initial training is finished, you're not left on your own.
You'll have access to one-to-one calls covering everything from practical questions and jobs you've come across, through to marketing, business development and managing your territory.
What if I'm still unsure?
That's completely understandable. If you've never cleaned professionally before, you might be thinking:
"I've never done this before" or "How am I supposed to know what I'm doing?"
That's exactly why the training and ongoing support are there. You don't need to arrive as an experienced oven cleaner or business owner.
You need to be willing to learn, follow the systems and put the work in.
And there are already franchisees who started without a professional cleaning background and went on to build their own businesses.
So, could you see yourself doing this?
The next step is to book a call. We can answer your questions, talk through any concerns and give you a better idea of what your Oven Rescue business could look like.
